Diamond Head’s debut "Lightning To The Nations" (AKA "The White Album") is a classic New Wave of British Heavy Metal album, and it really deserves the classic album status. In fact Diamond Head have never topped this one, and this is truly the only mandatory Diamond Head album (at least in my opinion), although their other albums aren’t bad.

May 11,  · It is not a secret that Metallica has got lots of influence from Black Sabbath, Budgie and yes Diamond Head!!! The British metal bands were what Metallica wanted to sound like but Metallica has covered five songs from this debut album by Diamond Head!/5(87).
  8. Vole says:
Since Diamond Head is this big Metallica influence, I figured maybe they had a little more metal clout. Not really - "Am I Evil" has a nice heavy sound that takes 70s Sabbath a little forward, but much of the album still leans a bit towards 70s hard rock/metal (although more metal than many of /5(73).
